The Retreat

Talle Lifestyle Retreat, Cafe and Wellness Centre is a long-established investment with a robust revenue stream, located on the Gold Coast in the lush green HInterland, and yet only 10 minutes from the sandy coastal beaches at Burleigh Heads and its iconic dining and retail precincts. Located in the famed Tallebudgera Valley, renowned for its lush green natural landscape with captivating hiking trails and cascading waterfalls. The Retreat is in good company as the valley is also home to the world-renowned Gwinganna Lifestyle Centre and the Eden Health Retreat, in the adjacent valley.

The Retreat has been developed over a number of years, with a capacity of 25 bedrooms. Made up of a 4 bedroom traditional farmhouse, 3 bedroom secondary dwelling and six 3 bedroom, self-contained villas. All structures have been designed around eco-friendly building practices, to minimise carbon footprints, sustainable living, use of raw timber and natural materials, touching the land lightly and retaining natural, tropical vegetation. Each building has a private deck, looking over the rainforest.

The Retreat encompasses a 7 acre, tranquil rainforest and is surrounded by designated environmentally significant forests of local native flora and fauna, where time relaxes its grip and refreshes one’s body and mind. Talle Valley is blessed with lush pastures and tropical forests, including touching the world-renowned Springbrook National park, famous for bushwalking, native rainforests and crystal clear waterfalls.

The main community building, affectionately known locally as the “Talle Tea House”, is open to the public and forms a well-known Gold Coast hub, of art and a wellness centre. Apart from the very popular and healthy meals, it boasts a conference room, meeting rooms, therapy rooms and an art gallery. The cafe offers a place to relax and a focal point for meeting friends. On the ground floor, wellness rooms, allow you to spoil yourself with reiki and spiritual readings, along with a variety of massage techniques, including; ancient healing, remedial, Loimni Lomi, Kahuna along with facials, creative Ayurvedic and lymphatic drainage, workshops, yoga, and biochemical analysis, and meditation sessions, are balanced with country produce and regular music sessions, to create a very popular attraction.

Whilst the onsite community hub focusses on wellness, a large range of physical activities are available nearby, focussing on beachfront yoga, horse riding, forest walks, bike riding, surfing lessons, kayaking, and SUP boards on the Tallebudgera Creek, along with the endless activities available on the Gold Coast.

Whilst the Gold Coast is renowned for never-ending sandy beaches, hig-rise towers, hotels and theme parks, the nearby Tallebdugera Creek flows to beautiful Burleigh Heads, only 10 minutes by road. Talle Creek is a great place to cool off in its crystal clear, slow flowing ocean water on the south side of Burleigh Hill. The north side of Burleigh is a famous surf beach and Burleigh Town, known for its myriad of family-friendly venues, fine dining, and farm-to-plate restaurants, specialising in fresh ingredients and local produce, who are the heroes of the Gold Coast dining scene.
